NYFW - A major fashion crush.

A Major fashion Crush in Big Apple.

Following NYFW is always a discovery of hidden gem. Street fashion to runway pieces, unlike European fashion weeks that is very much adhered to traditional manner of presentations and the newness is played within such ages old ways, NY fashion week is different because it is the place where designers and brands explore their new ventures. Thus, the audience seems more risk taking and edgy in varieties of ways.

Aila Wnag was one of my absolute favorites who was spotted on the street. Working black leather dress and premium denim with sporty-casual accessories as pair of Nikes, a beanie, and RayBans, she completely owned her look (endorsed by her uncle?) Besides her adorable smile, she definitely took over the it girl's spot of the week.

Introducing,,, Narvalo Clothing

Are you sick and tired of graphic tees with meaningless esthetics? If so, this LA based clothing line might be the right fix for you. Perceiving T-shirts as walking billboards, Narvalo Clothing brings graphic tees to the next level by creating graphics that are truly meaningful. When we first met Narvalo's designer and founder, Nico, three years ago, he was a new settler to this city of angeles. This Frenchman was working in a small t-shirts printing shop which stands on a corner of Downtown LA. His strong inspiration from politics (just as we know French peeps as) and street subcultures took him on his feet on weekends to walk the city with an ok SLR in his hand. His photographs depicts very raw views of the city through his eyes ----- through which he came up with the core concept of Narvalo Clothing. Together with his knowledge on t-shirts printing, Narvalo Clothing was established in 2012. Knowing him personally, his often sarcastic humor and adventurous affair are the drive for the new concepts. He stays true to his belief and visual sense when it comes to the design.

On a basic cotton blank tee, Narvalo often plays with his words and refined visuals to challenge political boundaries and social tolerance. Some of the brand's signature pieces carry such proverb as "Think Outside The Box" while other pieces takes, at one sight, a harsh and sarcastic take on our lifestyle as "Greedy Mother F*cker". Narvalo Clothing truly depicts mind and intelligence of those who are not afraid to outspeak the social norm. Narvalo clothing lets you stay focus on your true self.

LA Standards Style Tip

Entirely Metallic

We are in love with this entirely metallic look. This blue-green overlay foil finishing and pants in the same tone take off the heaviness which is THE challenge for any metallic lover when putting together a trendy look. The wide open back is simply sexy, if you'd know what I mean...It's almost healthy. Maybe an idea to master the look while this unexpectedly cool summer lasts.
