Once I wrote about metallic lips as it look for the summer. Much like the metallic gold foil, metallic silver gives a dazzling and cooling look in a hot summer night on town.

Key Application:
1. Use a fan shaped brush to spread outward on your eyelids to create a dramatic and eye-defining shade.
2. Create a bold eye line to define the eye shape.
3. Match the look with a simple hair and lip color to keep the well-balanced look.
4. Whatever the occasion is, the best outfit choice is to keep it simple in its color(s) and silhouette.

Remember! This stunning look has such an impact on your whole look, so you don't want to overwhelm it by adding too much to it.

Master this rule,  and you'll rock this signature look!

Trendy Patterns

When shopping for a summer dress, what are your focus? The silhouette? or colors? type of fabric? (maybe depending on the climate.) but this season, focusing on the patterns is ever more important and doing so will make your shopping way more fun. The 3 key patterns of the season's are here...

Dresses, pants, tops, purses,,, you name it. Enjoy these prints this season. Unlike the real traditional textile, these beautiful patterns are printed in pastel color scheme, trendy black&white, and bold statement color scheme, making those items more wearable. Take a look at some of these prints found on the street.
Aztec inspired prints in pastel color scheme looking very classy with a black top and hat.

More traditional color scheme and silhouette, but when worn together with a platform sandals, it makes  a perfect boho look.

If you are looking for a sense of lux, black&white is the way to go.

Voila! a drawstring pants or midi skirt with a clean-cut shirt = an ultimate stylish business casual.

Bold colors and patterns are always good for statement looks. If you are an adventurous fashionista, don't be afraid to throw on on of these bold patterns into your daily look. Extraordinary looks come from unexpected thoughts.

West Coast Tropic

Tropical Paradise ..

Neon and bright color trends met with popular floral prints. Tropical prints are the hottest thing in the south land this summer. Tropical print drawstring pants are perfect piece and a must buy for this summer. I love its versatility as it can be worn comfortably as weekend lounge wear or can be paired with a sleek pumps/heels for a semi-casual look. It's the way to wear tropical prints without looking like a picture from some tropical holiday destinations. The key for the tropical print piece is to keep other pieces simple and focus on the accessories. This means no crochet or lacey tops you wear over your bikinis on the beach. With bright and bold tropical prints being such a statement piece, a little twist from jewelry gives just enough kick to the whole look.

Nail X Style

In contrast to last week's post, where LA street influence was taken across the ocean to Tokyo street brand, much of the recent exploration with nail art has been brought over from the street of Tokyo. Ever since Nylon magazine featured an article introducing varieties of nail art, we have been adventurous to seek more vivid and unique nail. Manicure has certainly become another place to make a statement about our own style. Compared to long and pointy nail as a popular nail shape in Tokyo, the main stream shape of LA seems to be shorter, off-squared. Colors and patterns are very much following the main stream fashion trends of the place. Of course in LA, many girls like to put on some bight colors on their nail for the summer time. Switching and mixing of colors for each finger nail is also a unique way to create different looks. Comic screens, Aztec pattern, bedazzled, and sponge art over colorful base definitely fit the bright So-Cal summer scene.
