Oscar Fashion to Street

It's been four days since this year's Oscars were announced and from the national news to local paper, everyone is discussing the the outcomes and behind the scene happenings. Fashion report is among the biggest topic of post-ceremony rituals nowadays. We as well, covered the best 10 dresses, but we also like to look at Oscar fashion from a little different angle every time. Although Oscar fashion entirely covers what's called, High-fashion of French couture houses, we also find it very inspirational in a sense that it often transcends ways to give a twist to ordinary fashion elements. And those can totally be incorporated in more daily, street level fashion and give a great new looks. Here are MUST TRY fashion tip from the Oscar night.

Extremely eye-catching and refreshing was the way Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence wore their necklaces! It's backward, but so elegant!!! Both of them had strands of diamonds down the back, creating a completely new rear shots. Compared to Anne's bold statement necklace, Jennifer put on a fine strand of diamonds. Both are totally acceptable and perfectly suiting the look. So why not take this idea into our spring/summer fashion twist? Add a streak of shine to your favorite sundress or a bold shine to your killer cocktail dress for a night on the town.

Although LA Standards promotes more street level of fashion and its unique lifestyle of LA, as a LA-local fashion website, Oscars is one of the most celebrated show that happen every year in this land of dream. Of course the fashion there is not only the highest and the most prestigious of all, but but also has a strong influence on local and street fashion trends. So here are the 10 favorite oscar fashion.

By far the our favorite. Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta.

Anne Hathaway in chic Prada.
Halle Barry in covered in black and gold sequins. Gorge!

Salma Kayek in black velvet gown.
Naomi Harris in yellow peplum with killer slit.

Maria Menunos in bright pink.

Early Spring Pastels

Another colorful Spring is making its way in. Last spring, we saw all the bright and neon color items in shirts, knits, bottoms, accessories and everything that goes on board with fashion. I remember getting almost blinded by the neon colors in stores. This spring will introduce Pastels as new color palette alone with the continuing brights and neon colors from the previous season. Here is an inspirational street snap from Tokyo. We always love extraordinary styles from Tokyo and this one as well, she is a fashion designer from Tokyo, whose pastel color styling portraits soft and fairy like atmosphere around her. So cute!! We thought there is definitely something that we can take out of her style and incorporate into our street style here in LA.

Who's your Valentine? Valentine's Day gift.

Any plans for Valentine's Day? Whoever your valentine may be, why not first treat yourself for the day of love. Get a facial, a massage, nail done and a shopping spree! you have to love yourself before loving someone ;) Now, this might be a little twisting of words, but it's good to keep in mind. For boys, I see that Valentine's day could be a challenging holiday. It's not too major as birthdays or Christmas, but they certainly understand how important it is for their girlfriends. Every year, I see them wandering in flower/gift shops to find just enough gift for this love holiday. My advice to all— let’s go out on the town! Whether you’re with girlfriends, boyfriends or best friends, Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to get together with the ones you love and celebrate, honestly, a gift is optional! BUT if you are desperate for a perfect Vday gift, you know where to look. - lastandards.com
